Reflexology
Hey Guysπππ
So I'm continuing along providing information on the types of Alternative Medicines.
So as indicated in my first post, I grew up in a small village where everyone knew youππ and there was always a Ms. Mary or Ms. June who you would carry babies by to get rub.
She would oil up her hands and rub down the child from head to toe... poor thing used to bawl for murderπ’π’π’ cuz it was lil rough for them but she would say "the chile hadda stretch"..... πππ
By the end of the session.. the baby was relaxed and sound asleep... much to his/her parents delight π π π π
Without knowing it, Ms. June engaged in a type of reflexology.
So what is this thing called reflexology?
According to Wikipedia, Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative
medicine involving the application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is non-intrusive, and is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body.
